Februrary - It's been a busy month...

Well as the title says its all been happening in Feb for me. We started renovations on our house - building was to commence on 5 Feb but of course we had the usual admin delays etc. Plus we are in the middle of a big drought here, but of corse as soon as we dig the trenches for the foundations it pours with rain and it looks like I had a moat! Add to this mayhem school starting again for the kids, work's been busy and its a wonder I've had time for any poker at all.

I've managed though - and actually probably played more hands this month than any other - mainly becuase I discovered the joys of four tabling on FTP. I really enjoyed it initially - I was running well and just loved the flow of being able to see so many hands and toss away all the junk without a second thought. However all good runs come to an end - I had a horror three days where I lost about 25% of my BR. Posted quite a few of the hands on +1, general consensus seemed to be that I wasn't making glaring errors, and a few coolers were mixed in. But I think it did make me realise two things - one, while four tabling I wasnt getting any reads on players, I was just playing a real mechanical approach to the game, and two, the good run I had I think pushed me into overconfidence mode, and I think I started to push the marginal situations a bit too hard.

Anyway, it was a good learning experience, Feb's rakeback should be nice too. I'm taking a few days off poker now as I have some work travel to do. Might have the opportunity to play live in a week or two as well.

Yes, yes I know I have been bad and I havent posted for a long time. I acutally have a lot to write I have just been mega lazy. I've been out to dinner tonight with the family and have had far too much to drink to actually write a decent entry - I will try tomorrow morning :)
